Here is what is currently happening in our garden!
Japanese Hull-free popcorn is coming along nicely and has lots of tassles.
The tomatillo plant that was a lovely gift from our CSA-farmer Pam.
We have never tasted it before, so that is pretty exciting.
Our first bell peppers
grape tomatoes - now the trick is getting Aaron to leave them on the vine until they turn red. I think he should have been born in the deep south, because he LOVES green tomatoes.
roma tomatoes are almost ready......
chick peas - super cool, although we planted them in between rows of corn (dumb, I know) so they don't get a ton of light. But, they are perservering.
One of the hundreds of pre-historic size lettuce plants. It's a shame you can't save lettuce, because we would eating salads all winter.
Above are pea pods that we are drying for next year and below are dried arugula seed pods that we will be replanting in a few weeks for a fall crop. We LOVE arugula!
